HOW TO MAKE YOUR DAY PRODUCTIVE

Make your day productive, for me my days are productive if I do atleast one thing in a day which I like, it’s may be a little run, drawing, writing an article or reading a newspaper.

Best way to make your day productive is to list the things that you like and do them, atleast one of them, in today’s busy world one doesn’t have time for themselves and it’s very important to give yourself time and think where are you going in your life, what are the things you want in your life and how you want to make your life better .

Money is important but what is the use of that money when you are not happy, I remember talking to a businessman who was a rider, I asked him why he rides and what makes him so passionate about riding, he told me that life is so hectic now days that stress is always there in your mind and the only way to de-stress your mind is to do what you like and what makes you happy , for me it’s riding so every Sunday he goes on a ride around Delhi and sometimes out of Delhi, this help him meeting new people like him, who was just riding for fun and now they have their riders group that do big rides every year.

In order to make your day productive you should rise early, in the silence of cold morning breeze, think to improve your life, do not touch your mobile phone when you wake up for atleast an hour, sit and meditate, breath, realise you are alive, smile and think of how to improve your life.

I know there are some people whose life are just perfect they have nothing to worry about, that is a very nice thing but for them I just have to say to invest your time in your health, do exercise and make your self fit for the battle of life because as you grow your body tends to stops cooperating with you, it’s better to stay one step ahead and be fit.

I have seen people whose life is just stuck between the working hours, everyday they get up just to go to the work and after coming back from work they think about the next day of work. They are not living in the present they are just living a robotic life working and working, better to give your life a reason to live, don’t settle for less, be multidimensional personality.

Churdhar trek, Himachal Pradesh

It was the summer of 2015, aur exams was about to finish and we were very eager to go to some place where we can experience some adventure activities, we had only 3day for the trip so we decide to do churdhar trek.

Churdhar is the highest peak of the outer Himalayas, situated at churdhar sanctuary, Shimla. The total distance of this trek is about 30-35 Km, through the lovely grasslands and forests all the way to a Shiva idol atop the mountain.

So plan was ready, initially we were 4 guys who decided to do this trek but as you know at the end only 2 guys remain.

Now a little bit geography lesson here about churdhar, churdhar is situated in solan district of Himachal Pradesh, there are two ways to reach the churdhar, one is from Nohradhar the route is via solan and second is from chopal the route is via Shimla. Although the popular one is from Nohradhar. So we decided to take the Noradhar route.

Now for students like us money plays a very vital roll, in this whole trip we tried to make this trip as cheap as possible, and you don’t believe it we done this trek in just 2500 rupee.

So the journey starts from ISBT Kashmiri gate, New Delhi, we took the HIM-MANI bus service of the HRTC that was going to Shimla , our plan was to go to solan from bus take the bus from there to Nohradhar, stay at Nohradhar, climb the trek next day, descend the day after tomorrow and head directly to solan where we have to catch the bus for Delhi.

Now since the plan was simple we were enjoying the journey, the GT road highway is amazing, we had our lunch in the place called Pipli, we took a hell lot of pictures there people were looking is like we were some kind of crazy guys but that didn’t bothered us.

We reach Solan at around 4PM in the evening, after enquiry we got to know that there was no bus to Nohradhar at that hour, now the bus will run tomorrow, we were pissed, we ask a taxi driver for Nohradhar he says he will charge us 2500, we straight said no, for obvious reasons ofcourse. On asking a bus conductor we got to know the first bus to Nohradhar is at around 6 AM, that will going to take around 3 to 4 hours, to reach Nohradhar, So we dicided to stay at a hotel and catch the first bus to Nohradhar, after the break fast at Nohradhar we will start climbing.

Now the hunt for the hotel starts, we got a decent hotel for 900 rupee, you can even get a cheaper on you just need to find. In the evening we tried so local food, wonder on mall road of solan and watch a movie called “Azahar” my friend was not in the mood to watch the movie but I insisted, and the result for disaster, we were sleeping half the time but no worry because the tickets cost us 50 rupee each only.

Next day journey started, the bus to Nohradhar. We stepped in the bus, and the bus was pretty empty, but in no time it got crowded but fortunately we got the seats. The Road is not that good to the Nohradhar. At Rajgarh ( a place between Solan and Nohradhar) the bus got over crowded, so the conductor sad to all the young people to go for the roof all the people including us just ran for the roof of the bus, it was my first bus roof journey and it was epic. While we were traveling we came to know all of the people sitting on the roof top were going to the Churdhar also. The view from the top of the bus was amazing, the mountains, the greenery, the weather everything was perfect. We reach Nohradhar at 10 am after the breakfast we brought some fruits for the journey.

We started our trek at 10.30 am. The first few kilometer is difficult because your body is not adapted to walk in the acclivity, so we started slow, slowly we left the Nohradhar far behind and the thin forest started. As we approach further the path becomes less steep, and now we were pacing a little bit. the forest becomes dense and the view more beautiful as we were approaching. We reached a place with two huts at both sides of the path in the green field, which are actually a small dhabha, we rested there for a small time and start our journey. In no time we left the forest behind and took the green grassy path. Now we were able too see Shiva idol at top of the mountain. Now we came to point where we need to decide to take a shortcut which was an almost vertical path or takes a long cut which was an easy path but we need to go around the mountain to reach for the Shiva idol. so we take the Shortcut that was very bad idea because that was very steep and we were having rest in every 10 steps.

Eventually, we reach the top, and the view was amazing, we reach the top at 4 pm, i take the blessing f Lord Shiva and went to the dharmashal where people were in the line for the blanket we also stood in the line and took our place in the dharmashal. The night there was very cold and there was no electricity, our phone ran out of battery. In the night i get a pleasant sleep. In dinner you can have “langger” which is free from the temple committee, otherwise there are few small dhabas where you can eat.

Early in the morning at around 6am, we start to come down to nohradhar and we made it to nohradhar in just 4 hours. At Nohradhar we had our lunch and we charged our mobiles, and we took the bus to solan, again it was a roof ride the sun was shining bright and we enjoyed our journey since we had our bus at the same evening at around 10 we dicided to stay in hotel get fresh and then leave for the bus, on taking a hotel for just 500 rupee when I took the bath I realised that I had a skin burn,
when I opened the hot shower, my whole nose and shoulders were burning like hell, and then I realised that is was due to our roof ride, in the evening we again watched a movie this time in multiplex the name of the movie was captain America civil war, after the movie we went straight to bus stop, we took our bus and was in Delhi at around 6AM.

All in all it was a great experience and was a very cheap trek, that every student can afford I just spend 2500 for this trek.

For any queries feel free to ask.

And here are some memories from the trek.

How to Make Your coming Year a Success

facebook-motivational-cover-10m.jpg

Well before entering into the new year everybody makes a hell lot of resolutions, well there are only few, who really dedicate them self on those resolution. Here are my new year resolution that will going to help you in deciding and setting up your new year resolution and hopefully it will help you in becoming a better person in a year ahead.

  1. Setting up some goal.

you-have-one-life-set-bigger-goals

First I want to say that everybody has dream, we do have expectations from life somebody wanted to be rich, other wanted to be famous, but what they do not know is how to achieve that dream, for that you need to setup a goals, make your time line, mark the dates on calendar and promise yourself that you will going to achieve that thing before that. That is the best way you can start your new year, you have an empty year fill it with your achievements.

2. Stay with positive people.

Now one thing that you should have to make it clear in your mind is that, the difference between a winner and looser in his mindset, your mind is like a fully fertilized field and what you need is the seed of positivity and motivation so that you can grow a plant that will going to nourish you for your goal, for that you always want to stay with people who are positive in nature, who always encourages you and motivates you. You need to feed your mind with positiveness and motivation, so choose  your friends wisely.

3. Start reading book

As the quote says that books are your best friend, always read something either in your mobile or an article in the newspaper or a self help books, there are so many books that you can choose from, some of my favorite are.  Attitude is everything, A monk who sold his Ferrari, the power of subconscious mind, think and grow rich etc. Always carry a book with you either you are in a bus or standing in the queue. It will not only going to help you in increasing your knowledge, but also help in building a better personality.

4. Travel

230203-To-Travel-Is-To-Live

If you do not travel then you are the most unfortunate person, there is so much to see around and you are wasting so much, such a shame!!!. Travelling helps you becoming a better person, it make you knowledgeable, polish your personality, help in making new friends etc. Do not think traveling as partying where you with the bunch of other people just go there for drinking, travelling is much more then that, explore the place and enjoy the life.

5. Exercise

Make a promise to your self, that you going to look after your body, start running, go to gym , opt for a sports,  do yoga or anything else, but look after your body. A persons healthy body and healthy mind are mutual so look after that.

6. Stop watching dumb video on Youtube or facebook.

preparation-is-the-key.png

From the last couple of years the reach of internet has got larger and so as the speed, because of that we see some dumb stuff on internet that not going to benefit us in any way, in stet watch some motivational stuff, like ted talks or any mother motivational speaker, improve your knowledge from that. Same goes for insta and Facebook, un-follow all those pages that trolls other and gives you fake facts in the name of knowledge. Like some knowledgeable pages that make you motivates every-time.

7.  Come out form your comfort zone.

Now this is the last thing that you want, you know in order to become successful you need to come out of your comfort zone, opportunity do not comes to you, you need to grab them, and how that would be, by coming out of your comfort zone. Be willing to come out of your comfort zone in your life, take risk, do not hesitate, do not think about other, they are going to say things any way, just be free, do what it is right to achieve your goal.

And that will be my resolutions for the new year although there are other stuff too like, be kind to others, be happy , help other, respect your parents etc. but these above mentioned resolutions will be on top of the list. lets hope that i will remain true to my words and in the end of the year be a better person. Hope All the readers a very happy new year.

Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC)- REVIEW

I have been travelling by Hrtc since my childhood days and it’s like we both have grown throughout these year, the feeling I got when I used to travel by HRTC in those days it is something that I can not explain, at that time ordinary buses were the real luxury, I remember I used to live out of Himachal , like in Chandigarh, Delhi , etc. I used to miss the vibes that a Himachali can understand, I used to miss the people, there pahari accent and the way they talked to you, and the moment I entered the bus I felt like being in home.

For non- Himachalis, HRTC is the bus service that run in Himachal, and it’s kind of life line of Himachal, no matter what is the weather or what is the terrain, if there is a road no matter in what condition HRTC would be there, you guys must have seen pictures cold pilots going viral on the social networking sites like Facebook, YouTube etc. Have a look below.

Now the main reason for me to write this article is to make you guys aware of the HRTC, as you know Himachal is the one of the traveling destinations of people and if you are in Himachal and you dont experience the ride in the HRTC then your visit to Himachal is incomplete, those were the days when there used to be just one or two type of buses and you had to book the tickets at the bus stand yourself , no online portal no advance book everything on the spot, now days there are there are 4 type of buses that run by the HRTC for inter state connectivity and they are.

1. Ordinary

2. Deluxe (Non AC)-HIM-MANI

3 Deluxe (AC)-HIM-GAURAV

4. Volvo- HIM-SUTTA

HIM-MANI, HIM-GAURAV and HIM-SUTTA are the name given to these buses so don’t get confuse.

(Although there are electric buses also in the state that run in the state but I am not covering those buses in this article)

Ordinary

There was a time when these buses were luxurious enough for people but you know the technology has taken over the world and we love luxury more than anything and same goes for me as well .These buses are not suitable for long rides like Delhi to Manali or Delhi to Shimla riding in these buses will going to give you back ache,These buses rule the local area no matter what the kind of road is there ,you will see these buses moving smoothly.

Deluxe (Non AC) (HIM-MANI)

These buses are best for the budget travellers although they do not guarantee you that much of comfort or resistance from cold but these buses are good, specially for college students who want to travel cheap. Nice 2X2 chairs which can also recline with ok..ok..leg room and arm rest, although during winter it will going to give you some hard time because of the cold obviously but you can travel in these buses in any time of the year.

Deluxe (AC) (HIM-GAURAV)

Same as Deluxe (NON-AC) but what makes it different from that of NON-AC Is just that it will have an AC and a blower so that in both the season either winter or Summer your journey becomes comfortable.

Volvo/SCANIA (HIM-SUTTA)

Now they are the king of the road if you want your ride to be super comfortable super luxurious and super awesome, this bus is for you, people traveling with family or if you have a problem of air sickness then you better go in this bus, better leg space, leg rest, arm rest, reclining chair, leg room, AC, TV and a water bottle. These are the thing that you would get while traveling in these buses but they are the expensive one, although I won’t say that they are worthless because it’s an experience in itself to travel in these buses, you will get better view of the mountain, less shaking of bus and smooth ride, they are the business cards ride I can say that.

Now since you are aware of the things there are some tips I want to share with those guys who are travellers not tourist, there is a huge difference between a traveller and a tourist, a tourist may explore only the famous location of the city on the other side a traveller is the one who goes to the ruler area to get the taste of the surrounding irrespective of comfort, he won’t be having any plan of a definate way to reach the location he will always go for the cheap,

So for travellers HRTC is the best option that you will have to explore the places because almost all the places in Himachal are tourist places ,so taxi driver will loot you , I am not saying thing in a negative way but still they will charge you way more than an ordinary HRTC bus. I remember going to bir-billing from Dharamshala in just 91 rupee while taxi charges around 2000 rupees so you can guss how affordable this service is, frequency is not that of a DTC bus but you will definately going to get the bus for your destination.

My respect to all HRTC drivers.,….keep up the good works.

Kareri lake trek- The night of horror

Night in the jungle… yes we spend a night in a jungle and it was not the best night of my life. We were going to the kareri lake trek and us somehow we got late, we started our trek at around 3 pm from kareri village and we were at half way through but it was getting dark and we don’t want to risk our life since this jungle has tigers, bears, cheetah etc. So, we stopped at one place where people had camped before. the night started very pleasantly and it was like living in million star hotel, we set up the tent, bonfire, cooked some food, played some music and share some horror stories about animals. and then the time come when we have to go to our tents. since the stories were fresh in our mind we were quite scared at that time I got the feeling of depression for the first time, it was so dark and so quiet in the night that any small sound attracts your attention and you mind start building something that you wish should never happen. it was around 1 am and we were trying to sleep when suddenly an animal came to our camp. it was the worst moment of our life that creature was smelling our tent and was hitting the tent, we were inside the camp thinking that if it is a bear or a tiger, we have watched man vs wild and one thing that we learned from that show is that animal are afraid of fire, so we grab the lighter and a deodorant bottle ready to fire, and suddenly that creature was gone. we were waiting for any movement but there was nothing we laid down in our sleeping bags and was praying to stay alive till next morning because once the sun comes up I will be running from this place fast very fast, it was enough adventure for me. For some time there was nothing movement around the tent, and all 3 of us went to dead sleep I was in sleep when one of my friends suddenly started shouting that there is something outside the tent it had grabbed his feet we all wake-up and start examine what would be it from inside of the tent, we did not find anything and we did not have guts to step out of the tent in all of these activities going around. we stayed awake and start praying because after that incident I was very scared. I stayed awake till 6 am and after that it was bright outside but we were so afraid that we waited for the sun to completely came out, at around 7:30 we all decided to step out of the tent. In the tent, there are generally two gates one the inner and other the outer. the moment we unzip the inner gate we saw a creature laying in between the outer and inner gate where we have put our luggage, the moment I see that creature my heart was in my mouth because it look to me like a tiger and I started shaking, but on examing that animal and after rubbing my eyes it was a dog., yes it was a dog that did not let us sleep whole night and responsible for running my first ever camping, when I went outside I had and another level of respect for life I understand the importance of home, shelter, where one can at least sleep quietly.

It was a great experience since we were not able to complete the trek there was a little regret but after such a life-threatening experience  I was happy, however, I will come back and will complete this trek.

What we missed… we will come back
